The You First Team was established through the fervent prayers of Eric Ching during his initial congressional campaign. After weeks of introspection, he sought divine guidance for the words and vision to shape his campaign. In response, he received the phrase "You First," signifying the importance of putting God first. Additionally, God inspired the formation of this coalition of five Christians who united to campaign as christian conservatives in California, impacting the State Republican Party and the foundational values of our Judeo-Christian formation of the Republican Party - GOP.

The You First Org is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting biblical citizenship and leadership. In 2022, a divine connection brought together five Christians with a shared mission to spread the Good News. By answering the call to run for office and prioritizing God and Your Interests, they pledge to uphold life, the sanctity of marriage, and God's commands. Our team has made a significant impact on governance and is leading initiatives in our communities. Founding Members
ERIC CHING, Founder and Chairman - As a first-generation immigrant, successful businessman, father, and man of faith, Eric has served his community for the last 11 years as councilman and mayor.
As mayor, Eric made The City of Walnut one of the best places to raise a family; supported our public schools in maintaining their ranking as the top 1% in the nation, been fiscally responsible for producing city reserves, and reduced violent crime to 3x lower than the national rate.
As Chief Executive Officer of the Wan Yu Foundation, he’s led the nonprofit in serving the underserved. He’s impacted in times of need and never failed in his commitments.
Eric believes that although we may all have different political, religious, or social views, we all share a common interest in pursuing a better future, and his goal is to provide safe neighborhoods, good jobs, and a place to comfortably grow old and raise your kids.
MICHELLE MARTINEZ, Founder and Executive Director is a first-generation American, a woman of faith, a wife, and a thriving business leader. As a former Member of the Altadena Town Council, Michelle has been a strong advocate for her city, particularly in the wake of the recent fires that have impacted the community. Her vision is to foster a district where businesses flourish, education is innovative, and communities are safe, embracing neighborly values as the foundation of a thriving society. Michelle is an advocate for love, hope, and hard work, believing these values unlock limitless possibilities.
In her personal life, Michelle volunteers through her church's non-profit, where she teaches constitutional principles and biblical citizenship. She passionately upholds the faith and vision of the nation's founding fathers, believing that the hope which built America can be reclaimed for future generations. Raised by Peruvian parents, Michelle was instilled with the belief that in America, dreams can be achieved through hard work and determination. Her candidacy for State Assembly is driven by her desire to protect the opportunities that have made this country great—a place where people can work, dream, and share those dreams with their loved ones.
Michelle is committed to preserving the American spirit for generations to come. Above all, she believes that love inspires hope, and hope builds a brighter future for us all.
MITCH CLEMMONS, Founding Member is a dedicated Christian, seasoned business owner, and passionate advocate for restoring integrity in government. With over 20 years of experience as a plumbing contractor and business leader, Mitch has built his career on the values of hard work, honesty, and service to others. His deep faith in Christ serves as the cornerstone of his personal and professional life, guiding his decisions and driving his commitment to strengthening his community.
Mitch's involvement in politics is rooted in his desire to uphold biblical principles and ensure that conservative Christian values are represented in leadership. He has a passion for electing candidates who share his belief in integrity, family, and faith-based governance. Through his political engagement, Mitch seeks to restore trust in elections and promote leadership that prioritizes the well-being of families and the moral fabric of society.
Running for California State Senate, Mitch is dedicated to ensuring fair elections, protecting parental rights, supporting small businesses, and promoting public safety. His vision is to lead with compassion and a steadfast commitment to Christian principles, trusting in God’s direction to guide California toward a future where integrity and faith are at the heart of governance.
JESSICA MARTINEZ, Founding Member is a dedicated Christian, wife, mother of five, and leader in both her community and church. With a strong foundation in faith, Jessica has committed her life to upholding biblical values and serving others. She holds a Juris Doctorate from Trinity Law School, along with advanced degrees in International Human Rights and Bio-Ethics. As a former Whittier City Council Member and Mayor Pro-Tem, Jessica has a proven track record of effective leadership and advocacy for her constituents.
Her campaign for State Assembly is driven by a passion to protect faith, family, and freedom. Jessica is a staunch defender of religious liberty and the right to life, standing firm against the encroachment of socialism and the erosion of constitutional freedoms. She believes in empowering communities through free enterprise, hard work, and responsible governance, ensuring a future where families can thrive in safety and prosperity.
With deep roots in the Whittier community and years of public service, Jessica is committed to fighting for the values that matter most to Californians. She brings integrity, faith, and a servant’s heart to her Assembly run, focused on safeguarding the American dream for generations to come.
RAUL ORTIZ, Founding Member is a devoted husband, father of eight, and committed servant of his community in La Mirada. With over 41 years as a business leader and minister of the gospel, Raul has built his life on the biblical principles of faith, family, and service. He believes that the family is the bedrock of society and that parents have the God-given responsibility to protect and nurture their children.
Now running for California State Assembly in District 64, Raul is standing up for parental authority and the right to raise children according to Christian values. His campaign is centered on protecting children’s innocence, ensuring quality education, and supporting law and order to keep communities safe. As a father and concerned citizen, Raul is dedicated to defending the rights of families and strengthening the moral fabric of California.
Born in Downey, raised in Norwalk, and now raising his own family in La Mirada, Raul knows the needs and values of District 64 firsthand. He is committed to being a voice for small business owners, supporting public safety, and leading the charge for change in Jesus’ name.
